About Soren Diehl
Soren Diehl was born in and raised in Southeast New Mexico and no matter how many times he moves, New Mexico is where his heart lies.
Soren has a degree in English from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM and has been working as a Unix Systems Administrator since graduation. Since his move to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2000, his interest in sculpting reasserted itself. He primarily works in hand build ceramic sculptures, but also works with mosaics and is currently branching out into working with metals. His art is driven by a desire to understand more about himself through the symbols that emerge in his art.
Soren is currently using all his free time and money away from his day job to continue developing his toolbox of sculpting experiences.
He lives in El Cerrito, California with Rob Wolf, his partner, and their nine year old daughter. Oh, and of course, the two spoiled dachshunds.
